    Sole Ownership

    In 1976, Peter purchased the business from Ross Graham and became a sole practitioner, taking full ownership and responsibility for its operations and direction. The practice was located at 251 Blackburn Road, Mount Waverley (MW), establishing its base there from the beginning of his leadership.

    Career Begins

    In 1984, Brett Kenny started as an accountant with the firm, marking the beginning of his professional career and his long-term association with the practice.

    Firm Formed

    In 1993, Brett Kenny and Peter Rogerson joined with Peter Sawyer to combine their expertise and formally establish the firm Rogerson, Kenny & Sawyer, marking a significant step in the growth and development of the practice.

    Firm Rebranded

    In 1997, the firm officially became Rogerson Kenny, reflecting the evolving partnership and solidifying its identity under the combined leadership of its principals.

    Office Relocation

    In 2004, the firm moved its offices just 10 meters down the road to Suite 13, 241 Blackburn Road, Mount Waverley (MW), maintaining its presence in the same area while upgrading its workspace.

    Team Expansion

    In 2005, the firm welcomed Rob Deayton as a Graduate, bringing new talent and energy to the practice. The following year, in 2006, Mark Rogerson also joined the team, further expanding the firm’s workforce and contributing to its ongoing development and capacity to serve clients.

    Firm Expansion

    In 2011, Mark Rogerson and Rob Deayton joined Brett Kenny and Peter Rogerson to form Rogerson Kenny Business Accountants, bringing together their combined expertise. At this stage, the firm had grown to 12 staff members, including the directors, marking a significant milestone in its development and capacity to serve a broader client base.

    Leadership Transition

    In 2017, Brett Kenny concluded his role as Director, marking the start of a new phase in the firm’s leadership. Peter Rogerson later retired in 2022, and Brett Kenny followed with his retirement in 2023, completing a significant transition in the firm’s management and paving the way for the next generation of leadership.

    New Leadership

    Around 2021 or 2022, Matt Dunn joined the firm as a Director, bringing fresh leadership and expertise to guide the practice into its next phase of growth and development.
